Answer: Technically we have taken all the measures to prevent piracy - you can lock content for followers, cut and paste is disabled, and pieces behind the paywall cannot be copied or downloaded. No other platform enables this level of creative control.
You should also remember that plagiarism by individuals is a far smaller issue than the wholesale copying of works by Big Tech platforms. This is getting worse with the rise of AI - everything you put on a reading platform is being used to train models that may one day copy your style.
Our suggestion on how to approach your IP:
Offer samples for free, lock most of the chapters for followers or payment
Build a community of fans. Stay in regular touch via the comments section, emails, and notifications. Make it easy to find your work and support you. This is your best guard against big platforms and piracy.
Always maintain your own website regardless of which social reading and social media platforms you are big on. It is not a replacement but a complement to the big platforms.
Question: What is the best way to use stck.me for a writer who's already published a few books elsewhere?
Answer: Stck.me is your personal website. We have no rules about exclusivity. You set the rules. If you have signed contracts with other platforms you should maintain the terms of those agreements.

Question: How does Monetisation at stck.me work? Do I have to add my bank details somewhere?
Answer: Monetization is as simple as getting an account, creating or uploading your work, and setting a price. It takes less than two minutes. No bank details or setup is required to start. You get paid once a month, at the beginning of the month for all your earnings from the previous month. Let’s say you made INR 12,000 (or 145 USD) in July by selling your stories to your fans. In the first week of August, you will receive a link via email to accept your earnings (INR 12,000 minus 10% platform fees) from July into your bank account or via UPI.
Question: If I have published a book on stck.me and a few months later decide to publish the same through Kindle or some other publishing house, can I withdraw the book from the platform then?
Answer: Yes, it is possible to delete your work from Stck.me. However, it's important to note that readers who have already purchased your book through Stck.me will retain access to it. Additionally, no restrictions are preventing you from publishing your work elsewhere after it has been posted on Stck.me.
